Your Trust

It is God’s desire to lead us to greater heights and depths of knowledge and relationship in Him. But in order to get there we need to do something very important. We need to TRUST Him. Trusting involves action and allows God to move and speak to us. Tight rope walkers put all their trust in a wire that links the path they must walk. We can feel like the distance between where we are and where God is calling us is an intimidating chasm of fear. Fear does not come from God, love does. The Psalms speak of a loving Shepherd who guides us through valleys. He has promised to lead us through difficulties and Jesus is our perfect example of being led by the Father.

It’s time to trust Him. Who is better to believe for a promise than Him who fulfils all that he has said? In order to trust, we have to depend on. In time spent with God, He not only reveals himself, He also reveals the weaknesses in our trust. Our trust issues are often gaps of millimeters and not miles. These little gaps can turn into fear, hurt or disappointment if they are not dealt with. The good news is that they are easy to deal with. All we have to do is confess them to the Father and declare his trustworthiness. God, by His very nature, is the solution to our issues and problems. What are you trusting for today?
