Keep Your Love On: Connectionنموونە

If your trust in someone hinges on your ability to anticipate the person's behavior, then your connection is going to be threatened. That person is going to end up doing things you would never do and can't anticipate. Two people in a relationship are always going to be getting to know one another on some level. So you need the pillar of truth in your relationships. By vulnerably displaying the truth of who you are, what is going on inside you, and what you are going to do, you invite the other person to know you, adjust to you, and meet your needs--and invite you to do the same for him or her. This is the only way to build trust together.
- Has someone close to you ever done something that reminds you that there are two totally different people in the relationship? How does this make you feel?
- Why is important to build trust by communicating the truth about you rather than trying to get the other person to change?
