Now we are pleased to release this special edition of thirty devotionals selected from My Utmost for His Highest, designed to introduce a new generation to the timeless truths of Scripture as taught through the enduring words of Oswald Chambers. God is moving today! God desires to draw all people to Himself. What if God was already awakening you, your family, your church, your city? He is awakening the world through the reconciling love of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. Are you willing to let His Spirit, without warning, sweep through your own life?

After an encounter with Jesus, Paul was radically changed. This change led him to plant churches, go on missions, and write much of the New Testament. Two of the books he penned were letters written to a young man named Timothy. Paul wrote regarding church leadership and ministry perseverance that are powerful reminders to us today as we seek to stand firm with faith in an ungodly world.

In prison, chained like a criminal and awaiting his execution, Paul writes his final letter to his beloved spiritual son, Timothy. Knowing that his life may soon be over, Paul takes the opportunity to pass on gospel truth to the next generation. He exhorts Timothy to carry on faithfully preaching the gospel and encourages him to stick to the truth despite the suffering that will inevitably come his way.

Jesus is one of the most talked about figures in history. Some love Him. Some hate Him. Many are indifferent. No matter where you stand on that spectrum, He’s notable enough that it’s worth looking into His teachings, promises, and resurrection. This reading plan explores who Jesus is, with reflections from Scripture and links to video stories from people telling how He has influenced their lives.

Using the metaphor of Jesus as the breath of life, this plan explores a variety of Scripture passages centered on Jesus’ commands to pray without ceasing, to give sacrificially, and to serve the least, lost, and overlooked. By breathing in Jesus and His teaching, we’ll be better prepared to breathe life and hope into our world.
