This 12-day devotion series, shared by The Lutheran Home Association’s chaplains, focuses on heaven. We have many questions about what life be like in heaven. Each devotion focuses on heaven and answers the questions on what heaven will be like. Someday we will all be in heaven because Jesus has paid for all our sin.

Today, more people are on the move in the global diaspora than ever before. What is God doing in our world today? To better understand, we will look at the word of God through the lens of people on the move and be introduced to unreached people groups in the diaspora and pray for them.

Christmas is a time of vision, a time to consider the landscape of human life, what it means, and why it’s valuable. The mental image of Christmas is the Nativity, the crude circumstances that surrounded the moment when God reinforced the dignity of Humanity by clothing Himself as a human. But He did not stop there. Christmas brings into focus the only two sacred things in this world—God and People. Christmas is about Life. The Author of Life. Your Life. My Life. And the Life of the world. This 12-day Plan celebrates Life.

Committing scripture to memory can be difficult. Singing along with a song isn’t. It’s with this idea, songwriter Kacey Walkingstick has written the Gospel of Luke into song, word for word. This study will focus on chapters 1-3 and cover the Christmas story. Read and hum along to the story of Jesus. You may have heard the Gospel, yet you’ve never heard it like this!

They had to be cajoled and bribed by acts of devotion to take notice of us. But the one true God has taken the initiative and seeks us out––to rescue us back to himself. And that is the Christmas story.
