I heard again today about someone who found out he was not praying with EXACTLY the right posture – and he felt that God rejected all of his prayers to that point as a result. This is the same kind of legalism. We worry about the outside form over the condition of our heart.

What is coming out of our heart – that is what defiles us, that is what makes God reject our prayers. What is happening in your minds today? Is it thoughts that line up with the heart of God? We all struggle with our minds – so let God transform your mind. The Word of God everyday brings this kind of transformation. Worship and praise brings this kind of transformation. Giving with a thankful heart brings this kind of transformation. Humbling ourselves to bless others brings this kind of transformation.

Prayer

Father, I choose to serve with humility this week. This is just so difficult but so much Your heart. That is what I want to have. That is what I want my heart to look like. That is the single greatest thing I could ask for. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
