I Believe In The ResurrectionSample

Every unbeliever’s body
Satan inspires people every which way to minimize and marginalize the reality of hell. Some atheists stoutly deny both the existence of God and the idea of life after death. “When I die, I rot,” snorted British philosopher Bertrand Russell. Some imagine that the worst that can happen is that the wicked will be vaporized instantaneously. It will hurt for only a second and then—nothingness. Some borrow ideas from the Asian subcontinent and imagine that they will be reincarnated for another and then another go at life until they get it right. Some imagine that hell could only be for the worst of earth’s monsters, like Adolf Hitler or Charles Manson.
Are you interested in God’s message about what he is going to do? Here it is: “Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2). Yes—the bodies of unbelievers will rise from the dead, but they will be separated for final judgment and eternal punishment. It will never end.
Along with the physical torment of hell come mental and psychological agony. The shame that the condemned will feel about themselves will never end. The contempt of God for them will never end. Their self-loathing and intense regrets and aggrieved blaming and revenge fantasies will never end.
Now you know.
