SATISFYINGLY SINGLE
Are you satisfied where you are?
Are you content in Christ?
Are you eager or anxious to change your relationship status?
Are you aware that you are complete in Jesus Christ? Do you feel less than because you are single?
Believing lies contrary to God’s word about you will always cause you to feel unsatisfied with yourself and where God has you. When one anxiously dwells on how to make their dreams a reality outside of the will of God, negative consequences follow.
One’s mind can become so fixated on “being married too”,
“living their happily ever after too”
“beginning a family too”
“marrying their best friend too” that a relationship status becomes an idol in their lives. When this happens, the person has taken their eyes off of God’s providence, promises and provision and allowed Satan to have an inroad in intentionally filtering distractive, self-gratifying lies on things, position and status and that person has stopped seeking God first.
The person begins daily seeking how they can accomplish their dreams outside of God’s will and then later wanting God to bless a relationship or decision that he didn’t ordain. Or causing one to rush a process that takes time.
Don’t believe the lies that in order to be satisfied you need “this or that”, You will only be satisfied and secure when you Seek First the Kingdom of God and maintain your relationship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. There are no cutting corners on that process.
True, fulfilled, lifelong satisfaction begins with God. Even when God blesses you in a relational status upgrade from courting to marriage, if God is not sought after FIRST and is not the center, focal point or foundational rock in the relationship it will not succeed.
Satisfaction begins with Seeking God first in all that you do, so ALL your dreams and aspirations will come true. Relationship statuses don’t satisfy, contentment in Jesus Christ is the only qualifier for true, definite Satisfaction in your life.
Take time daily in prayer asking God to reveal the areas of your life where you lost sight of being satisfied in Him, seeking things that were outside of Him. Repent, forgive yourself and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and direct you back to God’s plan of Salvation, Satisfaction, Sufficiency and Security in your life.
