Faith Forward Future By Chad Veach

DAY 7 OF 7

Throughout all human history, God never wavered from his original plan. In the Old Testament and the New, he was filled with love for his people and desired to be reconciled to them. Despite human failings and missteps throughout this journey, God never got distracted from or gave up on his purpose and mission for us. He didn’t look at the whining Israelites in the wilderness and say, “Meh. I think I’ll make another plan. I think I’ll focus on animals now instead of humans.” God didn’t have a plan B. He only had a plan A. And plan A was Jesus Christ.

Now that we’ve discovered what the plan is really about, how do we stick to it? It’s simple. Have faith in the person of Jesus, and  realize that your unique calling and God Dream tie back to him. . . . Make everything about Jesus and your relationship with God, and watch how easy it is to move past all else into the best possible tomorrow.

If your calling is to start a nonprofit that rescues people from trafficking, then trust that God rescued you through Jesus and offer that same love to the people your organization serves. If God has gifted you with a platform to speak, don’t shrink away. Remember the words of Philippians 4:13, and know that you can do all things “through [Christ] who gives me strength.” Christ came to set you free from fear.

If your plan involves being an amazing mother, wife, father, or husband, remember how Christ laid down his life for the church. Understand how God’s larger plan involved sacrificing the rights of his only Son, and let that have a powerful ripple effect in the life of your family.

God has a plan for your life, and that specific plan always comes back to Jesus.

Romans 12:9 says, “Cling to what is good.” Let’s hold fast to the reality of Christ and God’s original plan for relationship and never let go. Let’s stop allowing the enemy to take us back to a place where we need to be bailed out or a place where we’re separated from God. Let’s not pretend the old plan of the law is still intact and make our lives about following codes of conduct.

Let’s stick to plan A.

Let’s stick to Jesus.
