The Holy Spirit gives us the power to kill sin in our lives.
If you had a poisonous snake in your house, what would you do? Would you cover it with a box, and wait for your spouse to come home? Open a door and hope it leaves? Feed it (hopefully not!)?
Or would you get something that resembled a weapon and kill the snake before it hurts your family?
We can get comfortable with sin in our lives. We entertain it, hang out with it, look forward to it.
The truth is, if you don’t kill sin, sin will kill you.
It will slowly suck the joy, confidence, and peace from your life.
When God gives us the Holy Spirit, He gives us the power to kill sin in our lives.
