Have you ever had a disagreement with someone? If you have, then you know it doesn’t feel good. Maybe your voice cracks when you try to speak. Or maybe anger overtakes the conversation and you yell. Or maybe you walk away, still upset as you go. One thing is for certain: When we don’t have peace, we truly feel awful. That’s why Paul reminds us in this verse to do all that we can to live in peace. Because he knew that living at peace with each other is the best way we can live—the happiest, most joyful life possible. It’s not always easy, but it’s worth the work when peace is the reward. Take some time to write down some ways you can do your best to live in peace with those around you.
