It All Starts With A Budget!Sample

One of the most challenging things I ever had to deal with in my life was Hurricane Katrina. But not only the impact of the storm but the stroke my father suffered shortly afterwards. My dad was hospitalized shortly afterwards for more than thirty days. The doctors said he would never be able to walk again and have slurred speech for the rest of his life.   But through God’s grace – He is not only walking but has so much to say (seriously)! 

During that time, we placed our trust in the ultimate Doctor above! So we prayed. I mean really prayed and read the Book of Romans, Chapter 10, seven (7) times for seven (7) days. After a month or so, my dad was released and that moment alone made me realize the great power of our God! 

Move from the unknown zone

But here is the thing. It was also in that moment, I realized that we were all in the “unknown zone.” See up until that moment, I had no idea about some of my dad’s personal finances.  However, I needed to know about his financial affairs to take care of his bills while he was hospitalized.  As such, right there in the hospital, I had to ask questions concerning his monthly expenses.

But what about you?  If you had a disaster, will all of your financial information be in one place? Would you be able to tell someone to simply go home, grab my folder and bring it to the hospital? Or would your loved ones be at a lost with nowhere to turn?

You need to select one or two persons, that in the event of an emergency, who will know your desires and some financial information concerning your financial affairs to ensure things go smoothly. Remember, you are not just doing this just for you, but you are doing this for your loved ones as well!
