When something is “precious” to someone, it usually means it costs a lot. It has a lot of value. In our culture, it could be the latest smartphone, newest clothes, or the most popular video game to hit stores. But by God’s standards, His children are the things He considers the most valuable—the most precious in His sight. He loves to think about us, to talk to us, to care for us, and to spend time with us because we are so precious to Him. Take some time to notice the world around you this week. Of all the things you see in creation, remind yourself that you are actually the most valued to God! Thank Him for loving you as a precious and valuable creation.
