God made us. And as our Creator, He knows what’s best for us. But even when we know this is true, we sometimes struggle to take matters into our own hands. We want to control what’s happening in our lives, so we ignore what God commands in favor of what we want. But remember that God gives us commands not to hold us back, but to give us more life. He loves us, knows what’s best for us, and wants us to have the best lives possible. This week, memorize this verse. Use it as a prayer to guide you toward remembering God’s love for you and His desires for your life.

About this Plan

This is a five-week reading plan is about following the Greatest Commandment by loving God, others, and ourselves. We will be learning that what we’re for is more important than what we’re against; getting to know Jesus is how we get to know God; our value is determined by God; everyone matters to Jesus, so everyone should matter to us; and a relationship with Jesus fuels our love for God, others, and ourselves.
