Family ID: 17 Day Family-iD Discipleship PlanSample

WHAT DOES BAPTISM REQUIRE? WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
Churches and denominations all over the world have different practices for Christian baptism. It is important for us to follow what the Bible tells us about baptism.
Acts 2:38 says Philip and the Eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.
Colossians 2:12 tells us it is a form of burial and through the work of God we are raised from the dead like Jesus Christ.
John 3:5 tells us baptism is a symbol of birth being born of water and the Spirit.
Hebrews 10:22 tells us baptism washes our body.
Matthew 3:16 tells us Jesus came up out of the water after baptism.
Romans 6:4 tells us baptism is a symbol of resurrection.
We believe water baptism is also the time and place to confess before other people that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and Lord and Savior.
