88 Great Daddy Daughter DatesSample
Day Seven
Table for Two
Scripture: John 14:2–3
Tell your daughter to put on her best dress and get ready for a special evening out with you. Stop at a grocery store or florist to pick up a corsage for her that you’d ordered earlier.
Dress up for this special daddy-daughter occasion. Knock on the front door to “pick up” your date. Tell your daughter how beautiful she is and place the corsage on her wrist or dress. Give her your arm and escort her to the car. Open the car door for her and chauffeur her to a fine-dining restaurant or tea room. You could even borrow or rent a limo or sports car to make even your drive an amazing memory! If using your own vehicle, make sure it’s been polished inside and out. Have classical music ready to play and a flower in a vase in the cup holder.
When you are at the restaurant, be the perfect gentleman! Open the door for her, take her coat, pull out her chair, and use your best table manners. Choose an entrée from the menu that you wouldn’t ordinarily have at home. And of course, order the most decadent desserts the restaurant offers!
Today is all about the best. You are wearing your finest clothes, are using your classiest manners, and have found the most delicious foods to be had. Also, you’re in the best company of all—each other! God loves us so much that he wants only the best for us too. He says that his plans for us are perfect, his love for us is perfect, and we will spend eternity with him in a perfect place.
Read these verses with your daughter: “In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also” (John 14:2–3 ESV).
Dear Lord, Thank you for our wonderful time together tonight. We are so excited about the future you have planned in the place you are preparing for us. We know it will be more beautiful and perfect than anything we can imagine. Give us patience as we wait for you to take us home. Come soon! Amen.

About this Plan
I (Rob) had a passion to connect with my three daughters, but I didn’t have the tools. I knew other dads who felt like me: they loved their girls but felt ill-equipped to connect with them on a deeper level. My hope is that the six dates I suggest in this devotional will help you do just that. Have fun as you strengthen one of the most beautiful and important relationships in your life!
