LORD AND MASTER
Luke 1:38
O God, You are the Lord and Master. Heaven is Your throne, and the earth is Your footstool. The sun, moon and stars all obey You. Dear Lord, I too, want to be under Your authority. I rejoice because You have brought my soul out of prison. By Your cords of mercy and lovingkindness, my heart is bound to You. And now, O Lord, my Lord, Your unfailing love has become my life's breath! I want to do Your will; I want to obey Your voice! Help me to remember that You will never give me more than I can bear or ask me to do a task that is too difficult. When I begin to weaken with frailty and doubt, please fill me once again, I pray. Help me to respond to Your daily charge over my life: Be strong, courageous and act; do not fear, do not be dismayed. Help me to believe You will not fail me nor forsake me. Continue to make me strong, O God, and please, awaken my soul to courage! When You ask from your majestic throne, "Whom shall I send and who will go for us?" I want to always be ready and willing to respond with awe, "Lord and Master, here I am, send me!"
