Bad Girls RehabSample
"Eve"
I like to think of Eve as the original “Bad Girl”. Eve’s sin of choice is Idolatry. We all know her as the one who was deceived by the serpent and ate the forbidden fruit. Eve, after being baited by Satan, began to place the value of the fruit before her relationship with God. It is through her that sin entered the world.
Can you relate with Eve’s idolatry? What are you placing before your relationship with Christ? How is the idol affecting the purpose that God has called you to? These are tough questions, but without the tough question we can never get to the root of the sin that attempts to distract us from our calling. The enemy’s traps and baits can be seductive. Don’t fall prey. Nothing in this world can satisfy you like the love of Christ.
I think if Eve could speak to us women now she would say, “Worship the creator and the not the created.”
