Is There Really? Devotions From Time Of GraceSample

Do angels really exist?
The existence of angels is a matter of faith. Doubtless because of strict orders from God, they do not reveal themselves except in very special circumstances. They are stealth agents who do their best work quietly and invisibly.
People who don’t believe that the Bible is factual will find talk of angels to be superstitious nonsense, sort of like believing in fairies in Peter Pan. On the other hand, people who have come to faith in God and who have come to trust and accept the Bible as factual will have much more information to go on. Though there may be no visual or scientific evidence for angels and their work, the biblical writers were given information from God that gives detailed accounts of what is going on behind the scenes in the spiritual world.
God created them at the beginning of time, at some point during the creation week, and he made tens of thousands of them. They are creatures of spirit, speed, holiness, intelligence, and power. They have names, curiosity, emotions, and the ability to communicate. They exist to worship the Lord before his throne, carry out God’s agenda on earth, and protect and care for God’s children: “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14). Some angels will carry the believers to their heavenly home. Others will be tasked to round up unbelievers for their destiny of damnation.
