The King Has Come: Prepare Your Heart Sample

Have you ever just reflected on what the story of Christmas really means? Something truly unbelievable and supernatural took place that night in Bethlehem. God became a man! The Creator who spoke the heavens and the earth into existence entered into His creation. As all the earth stood unaware, the King of Kings appeared! Heaven came down and made His dwelling among us. The firstborn over all creation was born of a humble young woman, in a humble town, in a humble stable. The great “I AM” became a little baby. Why did God send Jesus, His only begotten Son? Love!

God’s love for us is so great, so powerful; so perfect and unconditional that He sent Jesus to bridge the gap that was caused by sin. He knew that we were powerless, without hope apart from Him. The Lord knew that there was no way we could ever enter into His presence on our own merit, so He who knew no sin became sin for us. God pursues us with His relentless love. He desires a relationship with us so much that it compelled Him to pay the ultimate price on the cross in order to bring us back to Him.

For most of us, Christmas is a time of excitement and anticipation. We eagerly wait for the moment we can open all those beautifully wrapped gifts. But the greatest, most precious gift we can ever receive is the reason we celebrate Christmas: God’s gift of eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ. And guess what? We don’t have to wait until Christmas morning to open this gift, because it is available to us freely and brings us new blessings and wonders every single day. This gift has the power to wipe away all sin, comfort every hurt, and give us joy, peace, and purpose. It is a gift that we get to unwrap every day as if it were brand new, and all we have to do to receive this gift is follow Jesus.

As you celebrate the birth of Jesus with your loved ones today, take some time to reflect on this amazing miracle. The Messiah came to us in the humblest of ways to make a way for us to come to Him!

The King has come . . . and He’s coming again. But this time, He’s coming in “His Father’s glory with his angels . . . with power and great glory.” So, let’s prepare every single moment for that triumphant day!

For The Kids: Jesus Is The Greatest Gift.

Through the Christmas story, we are reminded that Christmas is all about gifts. But all those brightly wrapped presents are just a reminder of the real gifts of Christmas. The real gifts aren’t the ones we find under the tree, but the ones Jesus gives us.

Do you remember yesterday when we talked about inviting Jesus into our hearts? That’s the greatest gift you could ever get! When Jesus comes into your heart, He promises you’ll spend the rest of your life in heaven with Him. And guess what? The best part is you don’t have to wait until Christmas morning to open this gift because it is available to you right now! All you have to do is ask Jesus into your heart and tell Him you want to follow Him.
