The Biblical Benefit Of HindsightSample

Our world seems to be in a state of constant judgment of each other: media, fashion, politics, community, schoolyard, social media (have you been ‘unfriended' by anyone lately?!) and, of course, religion. This is a wonderful reminder from Jesus of the need to look inside ourselves first. Who am I to judge? I am no ‘better’ than my neighbour and should concentrate my efforts on living as Godly a life as I can, lest I be accused of hypocrisy.
Pray: Dear Lord God, please keep me from judging others and being a hypocrite. Help me to focus on my walk with you and not to be critical of others. Amen.

About this Plan

The irritating benefit of hindsight is that it is often easier to see why we should have listened to biblical wisdom when we suffer through trials and difficulties. The one thing I keep learning is that the wisdom was there all along; I just needed to look for it. It is one thing to have faith in your head. It is quite another to live out that faith in your heart, day by day.
