Work
- As Christians, we often talk about our work serving our Lord, but He wants our work to serve our neighbors as well. Our efforts in the workplace can be a powerful method of loving our neighbor just as we love ourselves. Just as Christ came to serve rather than be served, we have an opportunity in our vocations to live out His perfect example of servant leadership.
- Thankfully, as our work serves and supports the people around us, our work also serves to support the words we share about our lives and our God. As we work with a different attitude fueled by a different motivation, the world cannot help but notice the focus of our faith and the source of our love. Our affections can move the world’s attention to Christ.
- Prepare to read the following verses by praying & asking God to focus your attention and affections on Him.
Reflection:
- How well do you work alongside others? Where do you struggle to do this well?
- Do we leave others wanting to work with Christians more?
