“The Scarlet Cord”
Never realized that the red cord that Rahab hung out her window was the same one that the spies used to climb down to escape the city. I guess from hearing the story as a kid always thought it was a little thin tassel that was hung in the window. This scarlet cord was big and strong enough to hold the weight of the spies as they climbed down the wall from Rahab's window. It would surely look like a stream of blood running down the wall from the window.
