Day Sixteen: Psalms 148-Ecclesiastes 12
The book of Proverbs teaches us about how life is ultimately an art. We can create the life we want by intentionality.
Wisdom is the application of knowledge—it’s not just knowing what to do, but also having the courage and discipline to implement that knowledge. Paradoxically, the author possesses great knowledge and, for a season, implemented it. And then he became incredibly unwise and stopped following his own advice. This doesn’t color his writings, but rather re-enforces them: we need to fear God and walk circumspectly. It isn’t just about what you know—it’s about doing what you know.
