Do you know the role of the Holy Spirit in your life? 

When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes into our lives with His power.  His responsibility is to convict us of our sin and to point us to what is right and wrong. In the book of Acts, Jesus said, “You shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you.” The Holy Spirit gives us power to actually do what God has called us to do. His job is to comfort us when we need it.  He's the one that gives us the discernment we need to find the path that we are to take. But often, we take on the role of the Holy Spirit and we become our own Holy Spirit.  Do you know what happens when we try to take God’s place? We mess it up. Brothers and sisters, if you're doing it on your own, you are going to fail. You will never have the power you need – so let the Holy Spirit do His job!
