All too often we let the negative things in our past dictate our future. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, a cycle of disillusionment and resolution.  Thankfully for the Christian, Jesus has broken that cycle.  Life with Christ is new, and while we may still need to face the challenges brought by past hurts or mistakes, the guarantee of a new life gives us the surety that we are fighting from a place of victory a battle that's already been won.
