Has it ever seemed as if you just couldn't make any progress? Maybe it was a poor choice or maybe circumstances beyond your control seemed to be hindering you from any forward movement in life.  Paul encountered a similar challenge that he referred to as a "thorn." Some theologians believe the thorn in Paul's side to have been a physical ailment. Others, a person hindering him on his missionary journey.
