Many times within the New Testament, the speakers or writers pull from the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) to show the fulfillment of things throughout Israel's history. When Jesus used the scripture from Ezekiel (which we'll read on Day 5), He was illustrating the movement from the temple being a building to the temple being within us. Just as God dwells in the temple for much of the Hebrew Bible, Christ dwells within the new temple- us, the body of Christ!
