Wisdom Of The Teacher For College Students, Ch. 10Sample

Nations who have young kings are looked down upon from the Teacher. Their princes or leaders are holding feasts in the morning when they should be hard at work. These are persons who use power for their own enjoyment rather than for the good of the people they are supposed to serve.
The Teacher applauds a land where the king is educated and trained for leadership that serves the nation. These types of leaders feast at the appropriate time to renew their strength rather than to indulge their sensual pleasures.
The remaining verses touch on the themes of hard work, appropriate enjoyment of the riches of life, and being careful to guard our words spoken against those in positions of power and authority.
