Looking Like Jesus

We can look like God again because He wants to come and dwell in us through His Holy Spirit. Jesus has cleared the way so we can walk with God again—just like in paradise. Romans 8:29 says: "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren." We are destined to be conformed to the image of Jesus!

The Holy Spirit wants to, and will, make us more and more like Jesus. This allows us to be what we were originally created to be—the image of God. We may show His goodness to this broken world!

You are not made to live for yourself and your own pleasure. You are made to live for God's honor. You are made to become more and more like Jesus. He wants to make your heart so full of His love that it is no longer difficult to give this love to other people. He prepared great things for you so that His kingdom can be built through you.

Do you want to live for this? Do you want to give your life to God so that you can show Him to this world? Then ask God if He wants to use you every day for His honor. Ask Him to change you in a way that you no longer will be focused on yourself, but on Him, in whom life can be found. I'm sure He will do this work in you because this was His original plan.
