Everyone. Everywhere. Part 1Sample

Looking Outward: Throughout the book of Acts we see that Christians who made up the early Church were not only dedicated to the Gospel and community, but also to prayer. We can forget this important discipline not only individually, but also for our cities, states, and even nations. We tend to think the extent of our ministry is going to Sunday church gatherings, Bible studies, and events that have a missional focus.
While all these things are great and necessary, we often forget to pray alongside these gatherings. It is easy to neglect praying for the areas and people around us, but the Bible reminds us that God desires this. When we pray for the places and people around us, we are also reminded that it is God alone who saves and God alone who deserves the glory.
- Question:
- Think about your typical prayers. Do your prayers include the cities in which you live? Why or Why not?
- Application:
- Take a prayer walk in the area where you live and work. Earnestly pray and ask God to show you how you can reach the city and people that are directly around you.
