THE GREAT LOVE OF THE FATHER

PRAY:  God my Father, You are AMAZING! Would you let me see what great love You have lavished on me and let me love others in the same way so that the world will know that it is Your love in me. I know that the people who are mean, unfair, and live dark lives, do it because they have never known You. Please give me patience and understanding for the people in Hollywood who treat others poorly or don't live according to Your laws, because they never had fathers to love and guide them. They just don't know You, Father, and they have never experienced Your love through their earthly father. Let me deal with them the same way You deal with me, with encouragement, comfort, and love. Let me love others as You have loved me. I pray this to You, my Father, in the name of Your Son, Amen.

REFLECT:  Have you thought about WHY people are mean, sinful, rotten, nasty, cheaters, crooked, abusive, angry, or depressed? It so often comes down to a spiritual issue. Either we don't know God and His ways, or we are so broken as people that we don't know how to follow His ways. That's why even some Christians aren't good people. They may have given their lives to God but are unable to follow His ways because of their messed up backgrounds. That is what many people in Hollywood are like, and that is why there are so many divorces, absent or bad fathers, and TV shows and films with bad parental role models: because they have never known anything else. That's why we challenge Christians around the world to pray for the decision-makers and celebrities in Hollywood. Many of them come from broken homes and they just don't know about the love of their Heavenly Father! Would you pray for them?

ACT:  Would you join us at the Hollywood Prayer Network today and pray for all of the people in Hollywood who have no fathers, or bad, abusive, negligent, or distant fathers. The relationship they have with their earthly fathers is hindering them from embracing our Heavenly Father and so pray for the Holy Spirit to come in and grab their hearts with His unconditional love. We want God, our Father, to lavish His love on them so that their lives transform and they become free. Then they will create entertainment programming that reflects His heart, His perspective, and His values. You could change the world by praying for them to be healed from the hurts of their earthly fathers and for their acceptance of their Heavenly Father.
