Lust Has Consequences. 

James‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬ states, “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” What are you drawn to? Who are you drawn to? What’s enticing you? What’s pulling you? Who has your ear? Who has access to your heart? Surround yourself with Godly and wise counsel. Let your actions be seasoned by His Word and you will not wither. 

Psalms‬ ‭1:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬ states, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Your success is linked to your counsel. Your success is linked to God. 

Ask God to lead your heart. Let God feed you with His instruction. Let God connect you with the right counselors — His counselors. Lustful counselors produce lustful results. Consider your counsel. Consider those who are not after God’s Heart. Ask God to develop and shape your heart to reflect His. Let your character reflect His Word. Choose to follow God’s Heart daily and forsake the lusts of the flesh.
