Love God Greatly - Psalm 119Sample

Love God Greatly - Psalm 119

DAY 38 OF 54

God’s desire is that His people will enjoy and celebrate their freedom from sin, since we have been set free through Jesus Christ. We must walk in the knowledge that once we accept Christ into our lives, we have power over sin, we have escape from temptation, and we have the righteousness of Jesus Christ. No matter what people say or what our actions may say, God’s Word says that those who believe in Jesus Christ and surrender their lives to Him are redeemed. We must trust and believe in God’s Word even when we may not feel it ourselves.

What habitual sin threatens to overtake you? Have you lost sight of Jesus Christ’s redeeming work on the Cross for you? Have you forgotten God’s promise of deliverance, rescue, and freedom from sin?

Father God, You have cloaked me in the righteousness of Your Son, Jesus. I thank You for that precious gift. Take captive any thoughts of condemnation over sins you have already forgiven. Overflow me with the desire to confess my sins quickly to You so that You may restore and develop me. Let no iniquity have dominion over me. Remind me daily that You pursued me because you desired an intimate relationship with me, so I don't have to run from You when I make mistakes. In Jesus' name. Amen.
