A Heavenly Perspective
When we focus on the things that are going wrong, the earthly way of seeing our circumstances, we feel defeated and anxious. Paul tells us here that because Christ has already saved us, we develop a new perspective – a heavenly perspective. This perspective (focusing on the things above) is simply remembering that God is in control and that He is not surprised by the circumstances of your life. He is working a plan out and you may just not be able to see the details yet. If your family is experiencing a difficult time, consider what God may want to teach you through this verse.
