6. Lion’s Share
Once, Daniel was called on the carpet by some nefarious government officials of Persia’s King Darius. The king, duped by these deceitful schemers, was forced to punish his favored administrator by tossing Daniel into the lion’s den.
Daniel was innocent, and God intervened.
This familiar Bible story underscores Daniel’s incorruptibility and unwillingness to compromise his relationship with God, to his own peril. It also features God’s supernatural protection of Daniel. In the end, the deceivers got their just deserts, and the lions still got fed.
Let’s be children of God who keep God first and trust him despite the circumstances.
