But Be Brave.
Humans are very good at complaining or as I like to call it "Negative observations." We are often comforted by friends and we hit them with the big "but" when their advice doesn't smooth us or agree with our train of thought. “But this…” “But that…” and I am sure we can all fill in our own blanks. Yet in this scripture, Jesus gives us the ultimate “But” with His “But be brave” - so no matter the beginning of your sentence, change the narrative. Follow God’s advice, “But be brave.” And you know what’s even better? He’s already taken care of it - “I have defeated the world!"
Prayer: Lord, thank You that You are there with us in the battle and the midst of the negative observations, in the good and the bad. Lord, I pray today that we may all face every challenge with our own ‘But be brave’ revelation because you have already overcome it.
