GO2020 | ENGAGE: March Week 4 – CARESample

March 25 – By Bearing Burdens
Read
Romans 15:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:14
Reflect
Life is hard! Everyone’s story includes some pain, some trials, and some difficulties. So often, people feel most alone when the cruel realities of life set in, such as a cancer diagnosis, a broken relationship, a financial downturn, and so much more. What will it take for us to be sensitive to the needs of others and not just walk by? When we look at the life of Christ, we see that he positively impacted the lives of people in crisis. Can you think of some specific situations? Take a look at John 4 and 11.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passages. Say or write them out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What do they say about God?
· What do they say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply these Scriptures to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing these truths?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, Psalm 100:2. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

Is it possible to help others in such a way that it pushes them further from Christ rather than draws them toward him? When we serve others, we are actually serving God, and we are commanded to serve God with gladness (Psalm 100:2). Let’s look to God’s Word to better understand how we should care for and serve others.
