Life on Mission Sample
You Are Called
In 1910, Andrew Murray, a Scottish missionary to South Africa, said, “We shall need three times more men, four times more money, and seven times more prayer.” There is definitely a great need throughout the world.
Theodore Williams, the founder of the Indian Evangelical Mission in 1965, said, “We face a humanity that is too precious to neglect. We know a remedy for the ills of the world that is too wonderful to withhold. We have a Christ that is too glorious to hide.”
We have an adventure that is too thrilling to miss. God wants your job, your life, and missions through the church to be an adventure. If God has called you to move, that’s awesome. If He has called you to be in vocational ministry, say yes. If He has called you to go on a mission trip for one week, go for it! Wherever He is calling you, wherever He has placed you, do the best job you can to minister and share His great love.
Never forget about this world. This world has so many lost people who need to hear and know the love of God. They need the good news. We can get so concerned about our children that we forget there are orphaned children throughout the world. God has given us the obligation and responsibility to make a difference in our home and in the world.
When God gets ahold and changes your perspective, it changes your priorities. When your priorities change, your practice changes. When you place your trust and faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit comes into your heart and dwells inside of you. That changes your perspective. Your priorities are no longer about making sure you get what you need in life. You begin to love nations as the Lord does. So, our practice changes. When there is an opportunity to give to World Missions, our hearts desire to give. When we hear about a mission trip to serve orphans, our hearts want to go.
The Bible’s teaching is that if we fall in love with Jesus, we will make the nations priority. You will make missions and orphans your priority. You will make church your priority, and show up. A life on mission is about having the right perspective and priorities. When priorities change, practice changes.
Allow the Holy Spirit to govern your heart and mind.

About this Plan
Did you know that as followers of Christ, our hearts should love the nations? Jesus desires that we love missions as He does. As believers in Christ, we were created to spread the good news and through the Holy Spirit we are able to do so. In this plan, Pastor Gregg Matte gives three statements that will help you understand more about how we can live a life on mission.
