Hope in the Hurts - The Rescue Series

DAY 4 OF 4

Protected

God is our rescuer, and through faith in Him, His power will protect you. Faith is the keyword here. This rescue and protection does not come because of what you do. It is through your trust in Him that His power will protect you until the very last day. There is no sin stronger than God’s power. There is no sin stronger than the blood of Christ, nor any action or attitude that could snatch you from His hand. He is all powerful and almighty.

You can be assured of your salvation. In the book of Romans, Paul wrote that neither death nor anything else could ever separate us from the love that is in Jesus Christ. If I could choose a verse that I think explains this best, it would have to be 1 John 5:11-12. It says, “God has also said He gave us eternal life and this life comes to us from His Son. And so if we have God’s Son, we have this life. But if we don’t have the Son, we don’t have this life.”

Do you see how God rescued us? There is a new birth into a living hope that gives us an eternal inheritance. We receive this not because of what we have done but simply because of who we are. We are God’s children, who have put our trust in Him and have faith in His work. This new life and inheritance are protected by His mighty power in heaven. It cannot be lost. It is protected until the very last day. That, my friend, is the rescue of all rescues.

Christianity is not about going to church more. It is not about picketing this or being against that. It is about knowing Jesus. You have a reservation in heaven that can never be taken away when you choose Christ. There is transformation in Christ. You have a living hope in the hurts that come your way. While everyone is searching for hope in different places, be assured that yours is alive. If you know Christ as your Savior, He writes your name in His blood. If you have not made the choice of being born again, I encourage you to do so. Place your faith in Christ alone and you will be born again into a hope with a great inheritance that can never be taken away. Praise be to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
