GO2020 | ENGAGE: May Week 3 - GOSample

May 21—Committed to God’s Agenda
Read
Matthew 24:14
Reflect
What would you judge to be God’s agenda after reading the verse from Matthew today? Jesus says that the gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed to the whole world as a testimony to all nations. How would you judge the success of that agenda? Do you think the current pandemic crisis has detracted from or contributed to God’s agenda being advanced? How are you helping to advance the good news of the kingdom?
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, 1 Thessalonians 2:4. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

GO2020 is focused on mobilizing every believer to be a witness of Jesus Christ. Part of being mobilized is understanding the incredible responsibility God has entrusted to us—the good news of the kingdom! God has approved us for this task. Approved and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we can overcome the fear of man and speak boldly the words of God.
