Living in a Reset WorldSample
Being willing to unlearn will enable one to learn.
Joseph grew up in a household of shepherds. Being shepherds was a generational occupation, right from his great-grandfather’s times. If you fast-forward in his story to the time when his family comes to settle in Egypt, you will notice that they continue making their living as shepherds.
However, Joseph was willing to break that tradition to move forward. He learned to do household chores and he did them so well that he ended up managing the household of Potiphar. He learned and mastered the skills of administration, leadership and execution in a foreign land — in difficult circumstances and while working as a slave. These skills served him well when he became the Prime Minister.
The greatest stumbling block to our growth is our unwillingness to learn. The moment we stop learning is the moment we stop growing.
