THE GREATEST TREASURE

God’s love is more consistent, faithful, and everlasting than any other love we could ever know or experience. To live in this love is the greatest treasure of a lived experience, so why do we so often turn away or quietly slip away from God’s love? 

There are so many different reasons for this. We can only search our own hearts to know our reasons but, more often than not, it seems to me the main underlying cause of falling out of love with God is founded in another person’s influence or actions that greatly misrepresented God. 

The important thing to know is that God’s love is not dependent on what we have done or what has happened to us. God is love. I long to be a more loving person and I know the source of this type of becoming will grow in me as I allow myself to be loved by God.

This passage is a prayer from the Bible that you can receive for your own life and pray for others.
