Rebuilding the Wall: Walking in Your AssignmentSample
With billions of people on the planet and new babies being born by the second, I think it is safe to say that whatever your assignment is, the impact has the potential to be bigger than what you could ever imagine. There are no insignificant assignments within the kingdom. Every assignment is significant in fulfilling the purpose.
You may say, “I am a home-school mom; all I do is teach and clean,” and I would say that your contribution to your children’s lives will have a lifelong, generational impact.
You may say, “I am just an employee at a dead-end job, and all I do is sit in a cubicle all day,” and I would say that no assignment is a dead end. It’s simply a place where your impact and assignment look different. Your contribution to the atmosphere of that place of employment is important. You are making an impact.
You may say, “I am just a grandmother; I never went to school or completed my degree,” and I would say that your grandchildren and children need your wisdom, love, and support more than anyone else on this planet. No one else can give them what should be poured into them from you. Your words and time are making an impact.
You may say, “I am so tired of being single and without a husband and children. All of my friends are getting married and having children, and I am sitting here alone,” and I would say that someone is watching how you wait. Someone is looking at your journey of singleness and learning how a woman of God should walk with her husband and maker (see Isa. 54:5). You are making an impact.
All assignments that God has us on are impactful and a contribution to His greater purpose.

About this Plan
What is your assignment? Once we understand THE purpose, we must learn how it looks to fulfill it daily through our assignments. Nehemiah was a cup-bearer, so why was he building a wall? This devotional will help you gain a better understanding of the difference between THE purpose and your assignment and how we can be an active participant in the work God wants to fulfill on the earth.
