Day 21: Come to Me

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

As we purposely carve out space this week for Sabbath where we release work for income,  spend time with God, family and community, let us also heed Jesus’s invitation to come to Him in our weariness and burdensome work of standing for truth, fighting for justice, and forgiving others. He promises rest for our souls. 

PRAYER

Jesus, this has been a long week. I’ve stood in the gap and repented for my nation, my family and myself. Thank You for Your forgiveness. I pray for hope and faith to keep believing You that all things are possible. Please protect me and my loved ones, in Jesus’s Name, Amen.
