Good Morning: A Minimal DevotionalSample
Creativity
Good morning.
We all possess a form of creativity. No, the only ones are not those with paint brushes, Photoshop, instruments, or a camera. I understand our modern terminology, but if we’re not careful, we’ll relegate creativity to a department in an organization, and if we don’t fit that mold, we’ll disqualify ourselves from being creative. It’s much larger than that. I know some naturally think outside of the box, but I’d like to challenge who we see as creatives. They’re anyone who can construct a system that’s scalable to a growing business, innovate when productivity is at a halt, write a script for an interview, plan a schedule around multiple moving parts, all the above, and so much more. Essentially, to create is to solve. To create is to fill a need or a lack. It brings something into existence that was once nonexistent. Anytime we step outside of the box of what is, we are creating.
The creativity award definitely goes to the Lord. As seen in Genesis 1, creation is designed from such variety of colors, stones, dirt, breath, systems, time, and the list goes on. He had no limitations. With that in mind, we must now acknowledge that we are His reflection and made in His image. His very nature, passion, and desire to create is within us. I pray we all discover that creativity within and use it for His glory.
