Bible 2020 The Mission to the WorldSample

The Mission to the World Day 18 of 20
What do we see when we look at the world? Do we see the violence, the injustice, the inequality, the destruction? Paul sees something else, “the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world”. He speaks of the church – of people’s faith in Christ and their love for all God’s people. He talks of this faith and love springing up from “the hope stored up for you”. Beyond what we see, beyond what we can comprehend, God is at work through Jesus. Ask God to help you grow in faith, love and hope in Christ today.

About this Plan

Beginning with God’s covenants with Noah, Abram and David, these readings explore God’s ongoing mission to restore his broken creation, drawing people back to himself. God’s mission finds its fulfillment in the person and work of Jesus Christ, a mission which the church continues today. Be part of a global movement changing the world around you by reading the Bible aloud for one minute every day.
