Lectio Divina
- Read.
- What are these passages saying? Use outside resources if it helps!
- Meditate.
- Try to listen for God's voice. What is sticking out to you?
- Pray.
- Talk to God based on your impressions, or the words and phrases that are sticking out.
- Contemplate.
- What is God asking of you as a result of hearing his word?
- Act.
- How can you make your life a gift to others now?
Exercise
At the beginning of this week, you took a few minutes to examine your perception of prophets, priests, and kings. Through reading this week's passages, how do you need to reframe your understanding of these roles to fit the definition that Jesus gives to them? How do you now see Jesus' role in your story?
About this Plan
As a Christian, you may have heard that your identity should be found in Jesus, but have you ever thought about what that actually means? It means that when you chose to believe in Jesus, you chose to make his story, your story. This week, as an introduction to finding your identity, we will first take a look at Jesus' role as prophet, priest and king.
