Every Child Deserves a Family: Praying for OrphansSample

Throughout the Bible, we can see that God has a special place in His heart for orphans and vulnerable children. Time and again God calls us to care for them, reminding us that He upholds their cause.
What does this mean for Christians today?
It means our hearts need to align with God’s. We need to demonstrate compassion and support for children who deserve the loving care of a family. We can’t turn our backs on the issue or assume others will address their needs. It’s up to you and me as followers of Jesus to seek justice for them in His name. But the good news is that God is already at work in our lives and theirs. We don’t have to do anything in our own power—we simply have to join Him in what He’s already accomplishing. And that begins with prayer.
Begin praying by inviting God to open your heart and mind. Ask Him direct your steps.
