When you feel discouraged, defeated, weak, and weary, know that you are strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Christians fight everpresent spiritual battles against fallen angels' mighty evil forces that try to turn us away from God. The Apostle Paul warns us to be alert and of sober mind, because the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 

You are strong when you put on the full armor of God to protect against the daily pressures and spiritual attacks around you. Put on the Belt of Truth, knowing that all of God's words are true, the Breastplate of God's righteousness, the Shoes of the Gospel, the Shield of Faith, the Helmet of Salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit. Use every piece of God's spiritual armor to stand firm amid spiritual attacks, remaining strong in His strength.

In Christ, you don't have to rely on your strength to get through difficult times. God is with you; His power and strength, which never diminish, is your source of strength, which He renews in you when you put your hope in Him. His strength helps you fight your illness, go through yet another round of chemo, find a new job, deal with addiction, a failed marriage, or a defiant child. When you feel that you can't go on, remember that you can call upon the Lord to renew your strength. He is never too busy or too tired to help and listen. You will soar on wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint.
