Hope Is Found When You Care for Others  

When we care for others it helps them to find hope. Simultaneously, it stretches our faith to continue to believe in God's provision for our own lives. Imagine for a moment the paralyzed man who has no means to get to Jesus. He finds himself stuck in a situation beyond his control. Yet, the moment the men in this scripture saw him with empathy, the paralyzed man had hope.

The miracle that took place wasn’t solely in the life of this paralytic man, but also in the men that lowered him through the roof to Jesus. They witnessed first-hand the power of God because of their actions. These men put their faith into motion and carried someone to the hope we can only find in Jesus. 

Sometimes we get stuck waiting for God to move. I often wonder whether God is waiting for us to move towards Him so He can respond to us. Faith in motion unlocks the power of God. 

The question is: Are you willing to care, to stand in the gap for others, and to have faith in motion? When we help bring hope to others, we in turn witness the grace of God in action.
